The father of Anni Dewani, who was murdered during her honeymoon in South Africa, has slammed the easy life her husband Shrien is enjoying, as he avoids facing trial for her death.

The 31-year-old, accused of masterminding Anni's murder, is spending time visiting friends, surfing the Internet and goes for swimming in his parents' pool.

Despite still being treated for post-traumatic shock after Anni was shot dead near Cape Town in 2010, Shrien is allowed to spend time in a camper van in the grounds of the Bristol hospital.

According to the Mirror, only days ago he was declared fit for extradition to South Africa by a London court, which agreed he should return and face questioning by investigators.

But his legal team plan to lodge an appeal which means he can stay put until it is heard, prolonging her family's agony, the report said.

Anni's grief-stricken father Vinod said his daughter was very fond of swimming and would do so whenever she could and the fact that he can swim every day makes it very difficult for them.

Anni's uncle Ashok added that Shrien's lifestyle is too easy and all they want is for him to go back to South Africa and tell the whole story.
