Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Fateh Bahadur Singh was on Monday sworn-in as the Protem Speaker of Uttar Pradesh Assembly.
Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik had earlier on March 22 appointed the 49-year-old BJP MLA as the Protem Speaker on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's proposal.
The Protem Speaker administers the oath to new MLAs.
Fateh Bahadur Singh, who has been elected from Campiyarganj in Gorakhpur, is the son for ex-chief minister Vir Bahadur Singh.
