Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort's latest film 'Fault In Our Stars' has outshined 'Maleficent' and 'Edge of Tomorrow' at this weekend's box office.
The romantic-comedy based on John Green's novel made 48.2 million dollars in its opening weekend at the box office and beat Tom Cruise's 'Edge of Tomorrow' by nearly 20 million dollars, Contactmusic reported.
Angelina Jolie's 'Maleficient' made it to the 2nd spot with 33.5 million dollars in its second week of release, while 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' came fourth with 14.7 million dollars.
Seth MacFarlane's new comedy 'A Million Ways to Die in the West,' starring Liam Neeson and Charlize Theron, raked in 7.2 million dollars and came in fifth at the box office.
