17-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer trounced his arch-rival Novak Djokovic in straight sets to defend the Dubai Championship title on Saturday.
The Swiss maestro surpassed the 9000 aces threshold as he overcame World number one Djokovic 6-3, 7-5 to win his seventh title in Dubai.
Reflecting on his performance, Federer said that playing against Novak was always special, adding that they get the best out of each other, the BBC reported.
Federer added that he definitely won the big points so he was pleased he came up with some good serves.
In light of his performance, Djokovic said that it was a good match, adding that there wasn't much difference, a few points decided the winner. He also admitted that if one doesn't use those opportunities against Roger, then he fires back, but insisting that he didn't play too bad.
