Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has described Leicester City as the 'best team' in the ongoing Premier League season and backed them to lift the title.
Ferguson observed that Leicester have been performing well throughout the season and definitely deserve to be the winners.
Leicester, which were reeling at the relegation zone last season before finishing 14th, emerged as surprise leaders in the ongoing season, winning 19 out of 31 matches they have played.
The 74-year-old believes that only second-placed Tottenham pose as a threat for Leicester as they had been playing some of the best football at the moment, the Guardian reported.
However, Ferguson said that Leicester had got the edge over other teams and hailed the pace-setters' consistency saying they deserve to win the title.
Leicester will next lock horns with Southampton on Sunday.
