Commenting on the attack on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati' sets in Kolhapur last night, Maharashtra Culture Minister Vinod Tawde has advised the filmmaker to solve the rift cordially with people having varied opinions on the historic film.
"This matter is related to law and order but the makers should make sure that their movies should be less of fiction and more close to reality. And if a movie is based on such matter, both the parties should first sit together and discuss," Tawde said.
"Bhansali's films are based on history and the society is bound to have different opinions. Hence, people should solve the matter amicably," he added.
For the unversed, months after the attack on the sets of 'Padmavati' in Jaipur, it has yet again been vandalised and set on fire in Kolhapur last night. Reportedly, a few cars parked outside the sets were also damaged.
The movie has been under the radar ever since its announcement. After the Jaipur attack, Bhansali shifted the base to Kolhapur, Maharashtra, to resume the shooting.
