Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Minister of State (Independent Charge) Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, in an interview given to Jagdeesh Chandra, CEO, Zee Media, during his weekly program 'A dialogue with JC' said that formal training for developing various skills are being provided for the first time in the country by the Centre.

Talking about completing two years of Skill India Mission, Rudy said, "The key to skill development is that we give skills for performance. We cannot generate employment and so we want to prepare youth for the job that they are looking for in the market."

He further said this employability will further help the youth get jobs and create jobs.

He said, "Today, we can think of employment outside corporate and government sector as well."

Rudy further added that, it is not an easy job and his team has worked with total transparency.

"This is the dream of Prime Minister who believes that employment will not be in public sector only," Rudy said.

He also said that his ministry's work is like education or human resource development ministry and that it will take some time to fulfill the dreams of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as it is not easy to take the states along.

Rudy also said that Prime Minister Modi has taken a decision to repair Indian airline, Air India and rescue the people of India from the burden of 55000 crore.

"This is not a simple decision," he added.

He further said that he has a lot of involvement with civil aviation and appreciated PM Modi for taking note of the development of infrastructure.

"The results of the government's decisions in the field of civil aviation will be far-reaching. And this will increase employment."

He said that he believes that after the government's decisions, employment will be on rise in civil aviation.

Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudi is featuring on this week's special show of A Dialogue with JC.

On the eve of World Youth Skills Day on 15th July, this special episode will be aired on all the regional channels of Zee Media.
