Former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Swamy Prasad Maurya is expected to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday.
Maurya, the leader of opposition in Uttar Pradesh state Assembly, had left BSP on June 22 accusing the party chief Mayawati of selling poll tickets and deceiving the Dalit community.
As per reports, Maurya along with his supporters will fly down to Uttar Pradesh Bhawan in the national capital and will officially join the BJP.
There were speculations earlier that Maurya will join the Samajwadi Party.
