The chief ministers of four Indian states cast their votes today, the country's biggest polling day.
The Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Raman Singh, on Thursday arrived at the polling booth with his entire family in Rajnandgaon town to cast his ballot. Expecting a heavy turnout of voters through the day, Singh expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win all 11 constituencies in the state.
"I hope that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will create a history by winning majority in all the 11 constituencies in Chhattisgarh including three constituencies which will vote today," said Singh.
Chief minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, who is also the head of Biju Janata Dal (BJD), is deemed to be facing his toughest political battle.
"I expect the Biju Janata Dal to do very well in the forthcoming parliament and assembly elections," said Patnaik.
On the other hand, chief minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, cast his ballot in Bakhtiyarpur district.
