A French porn producer had offered football fans free access to his X-rated website if the national team defied the odds to turn around a 2-0 first leg deficit and see off Ukraine in Paris to qualify for the World Cup.
According to Metro.co.uk, one 3-0 win for France later and happy fans were clicking on Dorcel.com expecting to celebrate the win in some style.
However, Dorcel's server crashed under the weight of saucy demand, the report said.
In fact, such was the interest in Dorcel's offer the server crashed before the likes of Karim Benzema and Franck Ribery had even got off the pitch, the report added.
Just 45 seconds after the final whistle the site went down, with Dorcel tweeting a graph showing the massive spike in demand for his saucy services, the report further said.
There was a happy climax for excited France fans with Dorcel promising to keep his pledge when the site was up and running again, according to the report.
