Gary Lineker is supporting a campaign to keep the remains of Richard III in Leicester, and has urged his Twitter fans to do the same.
After the retired English footballer asked his 1.8 million followers to sign a petition that wants the king to be reburied in his home city, the number of signatures broke the 25,000 barrier within hours, the Daily Star reported.
In September 2012, Richard's remains were found under a car park in the city.
