German Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.
Leyen, who is on a three-day visit to India, had earlier visited Gandhi Smriti in Delhi, accompanied by German ambassador Michael Steiner.
She is also scheduled to address a gathering of German students.
Leyen arrived in the national capital on Tuesday and held bilateral talks with Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.
She will leave Mumbai on Thursday to travel to Singapore for the Shangri-La Asia.
