The Germanwings Airbus 320 co-pilot Andreas Lubitz may have adulterated flight captain Patrick Sondenheimer's coffee with a "diuretic drug" in order to make him leave the cockpit.

Investigators revealed that the 27-year-old pilot had searched online for diuretic drugs, which increase the urge to urinate, before he plunged the plane into the French Alps, The Mirror reported.

The information was retrieved from Lubitz's computer which was seized by investigators shortly after the crash.

Earlier investigators had claimed that Lubitz searched the internet for "ways to commit suicide," a week before the crash.

Based on evidence, investigators had said that the co-pilot pilot Andreas Lubitz deliberately crashed the Germanwings plane, which was travelling from Barcelona to Duesseldorf, by taking control of the flight while the pilot was locked out of the cockpit. All the 150 people onboard were killed.
