Ghazaibad Police have confirmed the death by hanging of an 18-year-old student of an engineering college located in the district's Vijay Nagar area.
They said Narender Pratap Singh was found hanging from the ceiling fan inside his hostel room by hostel warden Mohit Kumar on Sunday afternoon.
Police said that they had to demolish a wall of the room to enter it, and found Singh hanging from the ceiling fan. No suicide note was found at the spot.
Singh hailed from Agra district and was a first year B.tech programme student at the ABES Engineering College.
Police said they have recovered a mobile phone from his body which had 28 missed calls, and are verifying details about these missed calls.
His family has been informed about the incident," the police said.
