Former Australian captain Adam Gilchrist believes that Virat Kohli, who is set to lead the team in the series test opener against Australia in Brisbane, has the capability to become the best player in the world.
Gilchrist stated that Kohli has to overcome some learnings away from home to thrive as a captain, and believes he has the game and hunger to achieve it, news.com.au reported.
Kohli has captained India in one-day action against Sri Lanka and has scored runs at an average of 40 after 29 Tests and 50 through 145 one-day appearances in his career.
Further, commenting on the BCCI's legal proceedings against the West Indies Cricket Board, Gilchrist warned that it could permanently cripple the game in the nation, and there won't be enough legitimate Test playing nations as it would start wiping others out.
