Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Giriraj Singh has made a turnaround in his approach over contesting from Nawada seat in Bihar in the coming Lok Sabha elections after his initial disenchantment against the party for allotting him this seat.

"I had only issue based opposition. Earlier, also I have said and I will reiterate it once again that I have sacrificed before, and I will do it again and again if there is a need. I have decided to contest Lok Sabha election from Nawada because of the affection shown by the people there," Singh said.

"I am really touched by the manner in which Modi rang me up and also met me personally. This made me to decide on going to Nawada. That I was upset earlier is a different issue altogether, but as of now, I would focus on winning the seat in the elections, and help my party and Modi," Singh added.

Earlier, BJP on Thursday finalized candidates for atleast 100 odd seats in 11 states, which included 25 in Bihar that also had in the list Giriraj Singh as the candidate for the Nawada seat.

Reportedly upset over the seat being given to contest, Giriraj Singh had met BJP president Rajnath Singh on Friday. It was evident that the Bihar BJP leader wanted to fight the Lok Sabha polls from Begusarai constituency. Meanwhile, the party has given Begusarai seat to Bhola Singh.
