In a bid to convert Manchester United into an elite Galacticos club worth a staggering three billion pounds, the owners have reportedly promised to spend huge amounts of money to achieve the milestone.
In the prospectus sent out by Edward Glazer to possible interested parties in the USA after putting up three million of his shares for sale, there were reportedly promises of future marquee signings for manager Louis van Gaal.
United's boardroom has decided that it's the age of the Galacticos and no player is out of reach, which means that the club would be ready to bid for the likes of Real Madrid's Gareth Bale and Bayern Munich's Thomas Muller, in addition to known Van Gaal targets like Roma's Kevin Strootman and Borussia Dortmund's Mats Hummels, The Daily Express reported.
United's value has soared since the Glazers take over with some leading financiers believing that the Middle East parties would already be prepared to pay up to 2 billion pounds. However, with more top signings and further success a Glazer insider indicated that 3 billion pounds wouldn't be out of the question in the near future.
Edward Glazer is reportedly hoping to bank around 25 million pounds from the deal and it's believed that two of his other siblings, Kevin and Darcie are also open to offers for their shareholding. However, the three remaining Glazers, Bryan, Joel and Avram are ready to continue driving the club forward, having been the major decision makers long before the death of their father Malcolm in May, the report added.
