Google is celebrating the 15th birthday of its popular Gmail service this week. As part of the celebrations, the company added a host of new features and enhancements to make emailing less of a headache.

One of the new features is Smart Compose. It suggests what the next word or part of your sentence will be, based on the context of the conversation using machine learning.

In its official blog, Gmail announced that Smart Compose can now make suggestions for the subject of your email.

When you write the body of your email and then place your cursor in the subject line, you may see Smart Compose suggesting a subject for your email. So for instance, if the body of the email is about wishing someone for a birthday, it may suggest you "Happy Birthday", as the subject line.

The feature is switched on by default. However, if you are not in a rush of email composing and prefer to customise each of your emails, you can change the settings and disable the feature.
