Google enables data encryption in next Android release

Google's Android devices will now encrypt user data that can only be accessed with the correct password, a report said.
Google said that the data encryption will be a part of the activation process instead of an optional feature, reported The Washington Post.
A Google spokesperson said that encryption will be enabled by default in the next Android release. The internet giant has however, not specified a release date as yet.
