The look of Google maps on iOS and Android is set to get a makeover with Google introducing a new colorful design this week.
The tech company is expected to roll out the update over the next few days and overhaul the existing design to fit in line with Material Design, a design that has been making its way across Google's biggest apps, reported The Verge.
Although the changes aren't dramatic and the map still functions the same way yet it does certainly appear to be more stylish than the previous one.
The option introduced by Google in May that estimated how long it would take an Uber car to get you to a destination will now also show you an estimated pickup time and price for the route.
Another feature called OpenTable is being introduced that will allow you to take a reservation at any restaurant right from Google Maps.
