Google has launched a new service to track down misplaced mobile devices of its users.

According to the engadget.com, the name of this new service is called 'Find My Phone'.

Although, Android Device Manager is already available to help find lost phones and tablets, but just getting to their account's ADM menu often requires a search of its own.

To use this service, users have to simply open a Google omnibox and type "find my phone" after which it displays a map that reveals the phone's current location.

If the phone is nearby, Google has given a feature where users can opt to ring their phone.

Find My Phone does not allow users to lock or erase their device in case it is stolen. For that they will need Android Device Manager.
