Senior Communist Party leader Atul Anjan on Monday, said that the government is trying to distract people from concentrating on core issues of rising inflation and unemployment but are now talking about the Bharat Ratna, article 370 and the common civil code.
Speaking to ANI, Anjan said, "Whosoever's name is there in the list of people being considered for Bharat Ratna, let the Prime Minister announce it from the Red Fort. Is this the only issue that is important to the nation right now? Aren't there any other issues to be addressed?"
"I feel that the Prime Minister and his office is trying to distract the public from the core issues by raising the issues of common civil code, article 370 and now Bharat Ratna", he added.
He lashed out at the government for not being able to control the rising inflation.
