The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday asserted that the government's intention is very sympathetic towards the legendary freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose and that is why Prime Minister Narendra Modi is meeting his kin at his official 7, Race Course Road (RCR) residence here today.

"I can't say what would be the final outcome of the meeting, but I can say only one thing that Bose's family is meeting the Prime Minister and government's intention is very sympathetic towards the whole issue and one can only analyze by looking at what the previous prime minister like Nehru ji was spying or snooping on the family members of the Bose family and INA. Whereas the current Prime Minister is feeling honoured to call and invite Netaji's family at his residence," BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh told ANI.

"Netaji belongs to the entire nation. Everybody would like to know truth about him and the current government is quite sympathetic and considerate towards him," he added.

The Prime Minister will be meeting the family members of Netaji today at his residence where it is expected that they would be requesting him to declassify all files related to Netaji's mysterious disappearance 70 years ago.
