Veteran social activist Anna Hazare on Sunday called for the Land Ordinance Bill to be taken back, adding that the government should instead look out for ways to improve the condition of the farmers.
"People will keep on agitating because it is the right of people to protest against injustice. It may be possible that in the next two to three days, the people will gather at the Ramlila Ground. The Land Ordinance should be taken back and the government should think of ways to benefit the farmers because this is a farmer oriented country. We should do everything with the aim of serving the people," he said.
Hazare, who will be holding a protest at the Jantar Mantar here against the recent amendments in the Land Acquisition Act by the Centre, had earlier lashed out at the BJP-led government for removing provisions which provided taking the farmers' consent before acquiring their land.
