Govt. to launch blood bank app soon

The government has launched a new mobile application, which will allow the public to know about the nearest blood banks.

The application, which will soon be online, will contain the data of 76 blood banks in Delhi NCR, as well as a further 524 blood banks across the country.

An official release of the Ministry of Health states that all 2760 licensed blood banks have been made available by National Blood Transfusion Council at National Health Portal and has proposed tocover all the remaining licensed blood banks of the country.
