Grandma quashes Bobby Brown's claims, says Bobbi Kristina has 'irreversible brain damage'

Maternal grandmother Cissy Houston vehemently has refuted statements made by Bobby Brown after he told a crowd at a concert in Dallas that his daughter Bobbi Kristina was "awake" and "watching" him perform.

The mother of the late Whitney Houston spoke out in a statement that she visited her granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy, People Magazine reported.

Houston revealed that as per doctors, Kristina has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive, adding that meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens her.

She continued that they can only trust in God for a miracle at this time and asked people to keep her family in their prayers.

The 22-year-old Kristina, who is still in a long-term care facility in Georgia and her prognosis remains unclear, was first hospitalized on Jan. 31 after being discovered unconscious in the bathtub in her Roswell, Georgia, home.
