Global seed-stage startup competition for emerging markets and fast-growing startup scenes Seedstars World successfully concluded its Singaporean round during Seedstars Singapore.
The event took place at Collision eight, where eight selected startups were invited to present their ideas in front of the local jury panel.
Telehealth platform designed to improve access to healthcare for rural communities, Graphene Healthcare was selected the best startup amongst all for its high impact solution.
The company is now set to participate at Seedstars Summit taking place in Switzerland in March 2017.
Traditionally, the final day of the Summit will be dedicated to pitching in front of audience of 1000 attendees, with the possibility of winning up to the USD one million equity investment.
Covetella with its online marketplace to discover fashion to rent came second, and MagLoft, a platform to convert blogs into native apps, grabbed the last spot in the top third.
The other startups invited to pitch were PolicyPal, Winetobe, Grow, Delegate and Photomoolah.
Seedstars Singapore was supported by its partners Consilium Law, the Swiss Embassy, The Open Vault, Impact Hub and of course Collision eight. The event attracted interest from over 80 startups, and a packed house of 100 people attended.
Continuing on its world tour of startup scenes in emerging markets and fast-growing startup scenes, Seedstars World's next stop is Dhaka, to select the best startup in Bangladesh. Seedstars World is looking for smart startups that solve regional issues and/or develop profitable products for the global market.
Seedstars World has partnered with TRECC to bring the 'Transforming Education Prize', which will award the best startup in the education space from around the world with a prize of over USD 50,000.
Along with PayU, Seedstars World is also looking for the best fintechstartup, which will be awarded the 'FinTech Prize' at the Seedstars Summit.
