Debora Cahn, the writer and consulting producer for 'Grey's Anatomy', will script the upcoming film for George Clooney titled 'Coronado High.'
The Columbia Pictures project, which is based on an article by Joshua Bearman, was first published on the Atavist and highlighted how a hippie Coronado teacher and some high school students came up with the idea of smuggling weed from Mexico by swimming and paddling surfboards in 1969, Deadline.com reported.
The group was one of the 1970s criminal empire's few ones to have been taken down by the DEA.
Cahn, who is best known for her work on 'The West Wing', will adapt the project on-screen, which will be produced by Grant Heslov along with Clooney under their Smokehouse banner, along with David Klawans.
