The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) on Wednesday rescued the two-year-old boy, in Guntur's Vinukonda, 12 hours after he fell into a borewell.
The toddler is identified as Chandrasekhar of Ummidivaram. He fell into an open borewell in Ummidivaram of Vinukonda Mandal, Guntur at around 4:30pm on Tuesday.
The borewell had been dug for drinking water purpose which was uncapped by the farmer.
State Home Minister Chinna Rajappa and Health Minister K Srinivas rushed to the spot and issued instructions to the NDRF teams to take up rescue operations.
The child was handed over to civil administration and is shifted to hospital for further treatment.
