The mobile internet services were on Monday restored in Kashmir after it was blocked last week following protests in regard to the Handwara incident.
The mobile Internet service in parts of the Kashmir Valley was suspended in the wake of protests triggered by the death of four people over molestation of a girl allegedly by a soldier in Handwara.
As uneasy calm prevailed in the Valley as the police continue to place restrictions in several parts for the sixth day.
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had earlier told reporters in the national capital that she had spoken to Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, who assured her that the guilty would not be spared.
In the wake of the tense situation in Handwara, the government has decided to send additional Central Armed Police Forces to strengthen the security grid in the Kashmir valley.
The Ministry of Home Affairs is in regular touch with senior officials of Government of Jammu and Kashmir and has been monitoring the situation on a regular basis.
MHA has assured full cooperation and support to the Government of J-K to ensure that there is no further loss of lives. The government said that it is concerned over the loss of human lives in the valley during the last four days.
