With a total collection of 2.32 crores on its first day, the Diana Penty and Abhay Deol starrer romantic comedy 'Happy Bhag Jayegi' has witnessed a poor opening at the box office.
The film opened with a low occupancy rate of 15 percent as "Rustom" still continues to dominate with around 30 percent occupancy at the theatres, according to Bollywood
Indian film critics Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#HappyBhagJayegi picked up in evening shows... Fri ? 2.32 cr. India biz... Biz needs to multiply over weekend to post a healthy total."
Believed to be Diana's comeback movie, the comedy film has received mixed reviews from the critics but based on its first day collection the probability of it surviving the tough fight with Akshay starrer 'Rustom,' seems less..
Meanwhile, 'Rustom', with a first week collection of Rs. 90 crore has emerged as Akshay's highest opening week movie of all time.
Along with Diana and Abhay, 'Happy Bhag Jayegi' also features Ali Fazal and Jimmy Shergill.
