The Haryana Government has decided to set up Kalpana Chawla Medical University in Kutail village of Karnal district.
The village panchayat has given 100 acres of land for it.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter yesterday reportedly said that the Director of Kalpana Chawla Medical College would prepare the concept paper of the university within a month.
Khattar said that 750-1,000 bed hospital, a dental college and few more medical institutions in coordination with the Centre would be set up in the university campus, adding that all modern medical facilities would be provided in the university.
He said that certain medical colleges, dental colleges and nursing colleges of the state would also be affiliated to this university.
The Chief Minister further said that the construction of buildings of the Medical University would be completed in four to five years.
