The Haryana government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Israel to set up a centre of excellence aimed at raising the productivity of dairy sector in the country.
According to reports, the MoU was signed between Haryana and Israel's international development agency Mashav in the national capital on April 15.
Israel Embassy's Deputy Chief of Mission Yahel Vilan and Haryana Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Om Parkash Dhankhar were also present at the event.
The proposed centre of excellence will reportedly be established in the existing State Cattle Breeding Project at Hisar.
The main aim of the centre would be to incorporate Israel's cost-effective and innovative dairy technologies in the existing production system to attain global standard in milk production.
