Haryana Vidhan Sabha condemns Pulwama terror attack, pays tribute to martyrs

Haryana Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday condemned Pulwama terror attack of February 14 in which as many as 40 jawans of CRPF were killed when they were travelling in a convoy from Jammu to Srinagar.

"Leader of the House and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar presented a resolution condemning the attack on brave jawans of CRPF in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, which was unanimously passed by the August House. A two-minute mourn was also observed to pay tribute to the martyrs," said an official statement.

"All the members of Vidhan Sabha announced to give their one month salary as financial assistance to the family members of martyrs," the statement further said. The Budget Session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha began on Wednesday.

The House also placed on record its deep sense of sorrow on the sad demise of five members of a family of Kasni in Jhajjar who died in a tragic road accident near Raiya village on Wednesday.

Obituary resolutions were passed to pay tribute to those prominent personalities who have expired between the period from the end of the previous session and the beginning of the current session of Vidhan Sabha, said the statement.
