Speculations are rife that John Mayer has popped the question to girlfriend Katy Perry after the latter was seen wearing what looked like an engagement ring on her ring finger after their date on Valentine's Day.

The loved-up couple had a date at Sunset Towers Hotel in West Hollywood and when they stepped out, photogs caught a gold-coloured ring on the 'Roar' hit maker's wedding finger, the Mirror reported.

The couple have been in a relationship since August 2012.
