The relationship between star basketball players Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal deteriorated over time despite the fact that both played for the LA Lakers right until 2004.
It is being claimed that both players hated each other so much that O'Neal threatened to kill Bryant, reports news.com
John Black, the team's vice president of public relations, said that mostly it was Shaq and Kobe didn't like each other but it didn't affect them on the court.
He added that they would say something about the other on or off the record, but it didn't become confrontational more than two or three times over the eight years.
It is claimed that Bryant's remarks to Jim Gray served as the flashpoint of the simmering feud between the two players.
On the comment Bryant said that he was not going to play with Shaq anymore after the incident as the things he said were very criticising.
