Dame Helen Mirren, who returns to cinemas in 'Monsters University', has admitted that she is hopeless at voice performances,

She also said that she was initially fearful as to whether she could pull of the voice of an animated insecticide.

Appreciating Americans for their voice performance, Mirren told the Scotsman that she would love to have been in the room with Billy Crystal and John Goodman and watched the masters at work and learnt from them.

She said that she does like to have her body present and just to put it in the voice is quite difficult as you have to put energy into the expressiveness.
