Kerry Washington has revealed that she helped her 'Scandal' series' costume designer Lyn Paolo to invent her own maternity fashion line, while pregnant on the set.

The 37-year-old actress, who gave birth in April to daughter Isabelle, said that creating clothes to hide her bump was really fun for the duo because a line didn't really exist that was able to meet their needs in terms of the elevated level of fashion of her character Olivia Pope, New York Post reported.

Washington added that they wound up inventing their own maternity wear and changing beautiful top-of-the-line clothes into maternity clothes.
