Following revelations that around 4.6 million usernames and phone numbers from auto-destruct photo-sharing site Snapchat have been leaked online, a range of web tools could help users check if their data has been compromised.
Websites like GS Lookup-Snapchat, Snapcheck.org, have been specifically developed to help people identify if their data was breached.
According to Cnet, GS Lookup - Snapchat asks a user to enter only their username and if the account info was compromised, it will show the user's phone number minus the last two digits on the Web page and otherwise show a "You're Safe" message.
Snapcheck.org asks a user to enter either username or phone number and shows up an alert if the information had been compromised.
The site's huge trove of user data had been posted on SnapchatDB.info by a group of unidentified people, who have claimed that the site's security isn't good enough and the security bug reported recently, still exists and puts user data in jeopardy.
