Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu is presenting the Railway Budget for fiscal 2015-16 in Parliament.
The highlights are as follows:
Railways to provide facility of online booking of wheelchair for senior citizens.
Surveillance cameras on select mainline and ladies compartments.
Railways to increase number of general coaches in identified trains for benefit of common man.
Railways to introduce train sets saving 20 percent journey time, similar to bullet trains in design, can run on existing tracks.
