Hilary Duff has dished on her diet and exercise routine for the new issue of Shape magazine.

The 27-year-old actress, who shows off her toned stomach in a lightweight pink cardigan over a patterned plunging swimsuit top, paired with low-slung denim on the cover of the fitness mag, said that she relies on grown-woman food, Us Magazine reported.

The 'Younger' star noted that she'd rather have someone pull her fingernails off than hunker down and go on an actual diet, adding that she and her sister Haylie considered doing a baby-food diet, but it just sounded too disgusting.

Duff, who split from husband Mike Comrie in 2014, said that she doesn't do auto-gym, adding that she goes three times a week and mix it up every time. She works out with weighted balls, battle ropes, and big rubber bands and does this thing with a sledge-hammer where she swings it and hits a rubber block and it get out all of her aggressions.

She added that she relies on real-life exercise, like carrying her 3-year-old son Luca, who weighs 35 pounds. The other day we went to Disneyland and he fell asleep in my arms, and I had to carry him back to my car, which was a 30-minute walk. I was dying."

The star, who loves her wine but cuts it out when she's really trying to lose weight, continued that there's so much pressure to always have it together and she is not falling for it.
