History was Hrithik Roshan's least fav subject

Very few people enjoy studying history in school and superstar Hrithik Roshan was one such student who found history 'boring'.

Speaking exclusively to ANI in the national capital, Hrithik, 42, said history was one of his least favorite subjects and he never liked reading it, while promoting his upcoming film 'Mohenjo Daro'

"History was one of my least favorite subjects in school. But I do understand the importance of history. I think it's important to know from where we all come from, it's important to have sense of belonging, to know about our culture, to know about powerful people. These are things that teach you about human nature. It's nice to know a little bit about history, he said.

The 'Bang Bang' actor added, "But studying history is little boring, so in school I never enjoyed History. I used to wonder why I have to learn all this date stuff.. what I am going to do in my life. But for my kids also, I think it's important for children to know about the history of their family, about their father, grandparents, from where their came, and how their struggle. It kind of builds grounding in them that's why it is important, in a larger perspective history of the world is important."

'Mohenjo Daro' set in 2016 BC in the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilization, would be Hrithik's second historical film. He had earlier played Mughal Emperor Akbar in the 2008 film 'Jodhaa Akbar'.

Starring debutant Pooja Hegde in lead role, Ashutosh Gowariker's directorial, is slated to hit the theatres on August 12.
