Housing.com, part of Elara Technologies Pte Ltd, which also owns PropTiger.com and Makaan.com on Monday announced the expansion of its senior leadership team with the appointment of Amit Masaldan as National Sales Head.

Amit will assume his role with immediate effect and will report to Mani Rangarajan, CBO, Platform Business Unit, Housing.com.

The new appointment comes in conjunction with the company's recent merger with PropTiger to become the largest and preferred full service online-to-offline (O2O) real estate platform in India.

Serving as a lead for the developer, broker and HomeBuy360 sales team, Amit will be responsible for further building the sales and marketing infrastructure and execute the joint go-to-market plan for Housing.com.

In this critical leadership position, Amit will play a vital role for growing sales and content product revenue lines. Prior to joining Housing.com, Amit worked with Magic Bricks and led the sales function team of more than 500 sales personnel and 30 delivery members.

As an industry veteran, Amit brings with him over 16 years of experience across the BFSI domain with companies including ABN-Amro Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Religare Securities. In his previous roles, Amit has played an instrumental role in managing the sales teams, analyzing market trends and designing sales strategies.

"In order to become the largest O2O player in the industry, and to drive our next set of goals, we have strengthened our team and brought Amit on board. With the Indian online real estate market growing by the day, the need for relevant information regarding property is increasing even faster. We are confident that Amit's rich sales and marketing experience and leadership qualities will be a great match for our organization as we tap the promising opportunities in line with our objective," said CBO Platform Business Unit Housing.com, Mani Rangarajan.

"It is an absolute pleasure for me to have the opportunity to join the team at Housing.com which is writing such an interesting chapter of the Indian real estate story. The online real estate industry is going through a transformational change and after the recent merger with PropTiger, Housing.com is well positioned to offer a holistic experience to all stakeholders. It's an exciting time to join the business and I look forward to further building it to steer extraordinary successes," said National Sales Head Housing.com, Amit Masaldan.

Amit holds a Master's degree in Management from NIMS Delhi and has graduated in Commerce from Delhi University.
