The army has recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the encounter site in North Kashmir's Tangdhar Sector, where four militants were killed.
Public Relation Officer (PRO), Defence, Northern Command, Col S D Goswami, said lots of ammunitions and arms, including four AK-47 have been recovered.
"The operation is still in process. The army had earlier carried out operations in the same area wherein we have recovered a lot of ammunitions and have killed lot many militants also," said Colonel Goswami.
"Along with the relief and rescue operations going on in the Jammu and Kashmir area, the army is also keeping a check on the borders as well," he added.
Four suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba ( LeT) militants were gunned down this morning in an encounter with the army in North Kashmir's Tangdhar sector.
The slain militants are yet to be identified.
