Hungary has officially chosen 'Sunset' to be submitted at the 91st Oscars under the 'foreign language film' category.
The film, which has been helmed by Oscar-winning director Laszlo Nemes, is a prequel to his 2015 film 'Son of Saul'. The story of the current film revolves around the lives of Hungarian citizens who undergo change during the First World War.
'Sunset' will be Hungary's 91st submission to the Oscars. 'On Body and Soul' was the last nominated film for Hungary in 2017.
Meanwhile, Paraguay chose its third film 'The Heiresses' while Russia chose its 26th film 'Sobibor' to be submitted under the said category.
