Hunger Project India team calls on Ansari

A delegation from "The Hunger Project - India" led by Stevan J. Sherwood, Chair, Global Board of Directors, The Hunger Project and Chair, CWS Capital Partners LLC, called on Vice President M. Hamid Ansari here today.

The Country Director, The Hunger Project - India Ms. Rita Sarin was also present.

Vice President Ansari interacted with the members of the delegation and wished them good success in their noble cause, an official statement said.

He said that the idea of humanity to half of population is a critical success and their joint effort with the government will do a lot to the needy persons. He asked them to identify the problem areas because of the diversity of India.

The members briefed Vice President Ansari about the progress of their various ongoing programmes in India in close coordination with many poverty alleviation programmes of the government of India and many state governments.

They opined that its aim is sustainable development.
