Family of a Hyderabadi man, who died in Saudi Arabia 17 days ago, suspects a foul play in his death and has urged External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to help in the repatriation of the body.

"He spoke to us last on December 2, and unfortunately died after two hours and we got to know about the incident on December 3 by his colleague. My father's employer is claiming that he died due to heart attack, but we are confused that how he died," Syed Ibrahim Sheybaz, son of the deceased Syed Farooq Kasim told ANI.

Kasim was working in a transport agency in Saudi Arabia for the last six years and contacted his family every day, said his kin.

The son even approached the Indian Embassy in Riyadh.

"When we approached the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia, they are saying that they are waiting for local authorities to give the report," Sheybaz added.

The grieving relatives added that they were told that the Saudi Arabian authorities are investigating the matter, but 17 days on, they are yet to receive a response from them.

Shehbaz added that he had requested External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to help the family in repatriating the body to India so that they could perform the final rites of the deceased in India as soon as possible.
