England Captain Alastair Cook has said he is the right person to rebuild his shattered team from scratch after their 5-0 Ashes series humiliation against Australia.
England was all out for 166 off just 31.4 overs and in 147 minutes to lose by 281 runs to the dominant Australians in the final Sydney Test.
The crushing defeat in mere three days is expected to have major changes in English cricket just months after they beat Australia 3-0 in England.
England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has entrusted skipper Cook to rebuild the England side.
He said he is to try and turn things around, Sport24 reports.
Cook said that every single player now has to go back and have a look at themselves and their techniques.
The skipper added that only all-rounder Ben Stokes and pacer Stuart Broad played to their potential.
Taking responsibility for the 5-0 Ashes whitewash, Cook said their side has let the supporters down because of their poor performance on the tour.
