Jennifer Lopez recently revealed that she used to jump in the garbage bins filled with maggots for food and she has also stolen for food, as she recalls her experiences while growing up Bronx.
The 45-year-old artist said that although her childhood was filled with many happy memories, but it was also spent in abject poverty, E! Online reported.
She was one of the 17 million kids in the country who didn't know where their next meal was coming from, she further added.
While being honored at Variety's Power of Women gala for the work she did with Hunger Is under her Lopez Family Foundation, the 'Wedding planner' actress mentioned that she wanted to provide every mother and child with the health care education that they all deserve through her foundation.
