Jay-Z has opened up about his own childhood and fears over bringing up baby Blue Ivy.

The 43-year-old talked about how his father neglected him as a kid and he was worried about being a good parent to his 16-month-old daughter, in a promo video for his new album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail', the Mirror reported.

He said that his dad left when he was young, so he didn't teach the singer to be a man, nor how to raise a child or how to treat a woman.

He said now that he has a daughter, he's got paranoia of not being a great dad.
